Ahmad Kamil asyik cerita makan nasi Kambing Mandi dan jamu kawan2 makanan ni masa dia orang mengerjakan haji yg lepas. Aku teringin nak tegok rupa nasi tu ... kambing mandi dalam nasi ke, nasi campur kambing tak mandi ke. Jadi, Ahmad Kamil ada hantar resepi spt d ibawah in English. Sebelum ni dia hantar resepi versi Bahasa Arab, tak faham ... nak baca pun tak tahu sbb tak ada baris mcm kita baca Al Quran. Apa2 versi resepi pun yg penting jadi Nasi Kambing Mandi.
Aku bukan adventurous sgt pasal makan ni, jauh sekali masak-memasak. So, sesiapa nak try boleh cuba (?). Takkan tak tahu nak translate English to Malay, cikgu English kawan kita pun ada kalau nak tolong. Aku rasa kalau nak cuba pun kawan2 lelaki kita sbb masak yg berat2 mcm ni biasanyanya orang lelaki. Ini cara yang lebih senang nak masak kambing Mandi
Banyak restoran pakai cara ni, tapi mereka gunakan pressure cooker untuk lembutkan kambing.
So kenkawan dah ada resepi mudah, so Kambing Mandilah jangan tak Mandi! Dah buat bagi tahu aku ok tak.

YEMENI LAMB "Al Mandi":
( Arabian Lamb with rice )
Ingredients:
1.5 kg tender lamb cut into large pieces
3 medium onions, finely chopped

2 tablesppoons fresh cilantro (daun ketumbar), finely chopped
Salt and pepper to taste

METHOD
Melt butter in saucepan, fry the onions and garlic until fragarant.

Add meat, salt and pepper and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
Add 2 cups water and cilantro and simmer in a covered saucepan over low heat for one hour. Add water if saucepan dries.
Remove meat, set aside in warm spot.

Stir in rice, cover and cook very gently over low heat until the rice is nearly cooked, about 15 minutes. Turn off heat and allow to steam 10 minutes longer.
Place rice on a large serving platter. Arrange pieces of meat on top.

Garnish with cashew nuts, almonds, raisins and fried onions and serve with tomato salsa (sambal tomato) and vegetable salad, like carrots and cucumber.

lama x singgah sini.singgah je jumpa resepi favourite,jazakallahkhukhairan ahmad kamel.rasanya kalau masak guna rice cooker beras tu kena rendam dulu,kalau tidak nanti berjelantah,kalau cari resepi ni kat google,mmang leceh nak buat.lepasni x payah cari kat ampang(paling sedap kut kat m'sia)@taman sepakat kajang lagi,cuma dah tua2 malas pulak. nak tanya alimor pulak ,betul ke letrik bawah rm 20 x kena charge.
Resipi bagus ni. Saani boleh cuba hindangan ni untuk majlis perkahwinan anak awak Bulan Mei ni. Peni dengan Mohsin boleh bekalkan daging kambingnya.

EnAlimor, ikan tu kalau bakar dengan daun pisang dan cecah dengan air asam + belacan+cili padi...pheh! tak terkata..rasanya kalah nasi kambing tu..
Baru baca makanan aja dah lupa perkara pokok.Iyake ramai yang lalu aja? tak penatke..singah-singahle utk berehat..minum-minum cendol ke..makan-makan pisang gorengke...Dapat maklumat baru drpd Hamzah Baba,Ibrahim Latif berada di TM Segamat..nak cari..ee..suspennya nak ketemu kawan lama..
Braim, beritau bila dah jumpa Ibrahim Latif, orang Buloh Kasap. Jangan kau silap cari Latif Ibrahim sudah. Arwah bapak aku dulu pernah duduk bersama dengan emak/bapak dia masa kerja SC (Special Constables) zaman darurat di Muar River Estate.
En.Alimor, rancangan berjumpa tak menjadi hari ini. Dia ada latihan..entah latihan apa agaknya diusia-usia sebegini..tapi gembira sebab dapat bercakap dengan dia. Jadi kontek Hamzah Baba utk buat rancangan pd masa lain.
Delilah dah test ke resepi tu. Just make sure air mendidih sebelum masukkan nasi sedikit demi sedikit ( sambil beli tengok tengok juga mereka masak). Aku tunggu balik Malaysia untuk test, sebab kat sini lagi mudah kalau dibeli saja. For info di supermaket di sini ada jual kiub kambing maggi,seperti kiub ayam di Malaysia.
